Hugh Hefner's ex-fiancee has opened up about the Playboy boss' strict rules, insisting the schedule for girlfriends at his fabled mansion home is often stifling.
Crystal Harris called off her engagement to Hef earlier this week (14Jun11) and moved out of the Playboy Mansion in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles - where she was set to become the publisher's wife on Saturday (18Jun11) - and she's already enjoying a new-found freedom.
She tells news show Entertainment Tonight, "The mansion schedule is so strict - home by 6 o'clock every Friday night, Saturday and Sunday for movie nights.
"I couldn't do certain things. The first year I was there, I went on a vacation with my friends... and I went four days in Idaho to visit my sister (sic)... and then the second year I asked if I could go with my friends and see my family and I was told no. I saw my world just closing in on me."
She adds, "It's Hef's way or no way."
And Harris admits that moving out of the Playboy Mansion this week has been "scary" at times: "I'm used to living somewhere that has butlers and security. My curfew was nine o'clock. The other day I'm driving, it's night time, I needed to get gas; it's scary."
