Singer Huey Lewis turned down the chance to star in Chicago on New York's Broadway when he was first offered a part, because he didn't think he was good enough.

The 1980s pop star only changed his mind and agreed to star as BILLY FLYNN after watching the show during a trip to the Big Apple.

He says, "When they inquired, my initial impulse was, 'I can't do that. I'm not a legit guy. I don't have the chops for that."

While visiting his son at New York University, he saw Chicago and changed his tune, agreeing to come in this month (NOV05).

He adds, "I was knocked out by the show. I thought, 'I could almost do this.'"
