Controversial radio presenter Howard Stern will return to the airwaves in five out of the six American cities where his programme was pulled off air due to his "indecent" remarks.
Stern's show will now return to stations run by INFINITY BROADCASTING in Orlando, Florida; Fort Lauderdale, Florida; San Diego, California; Rochester, New York; and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
In February (04), media company CLEAR CHANNEL pulled Stern from six of the stations it owns after the FEDERAL COMMUNICATIONS COMMISSION (FCC) fined the company $495,000 (GBP275,000).
Stern says, "They (Clear Channel) don't want me back on in these markets because I'll quickly rise to number one in every one of them."
Stern's programme will also begin broadcasting in Tampa, Florida and in Houston and Austin, both in Texas, for the first time.02/07/2004 09:48
