U.S. soccer star Hope Solo's new husband has been taken into custody for a suspected parole violation relating to his recent domestic violence arrest.
Jerramy Stevens, a former American football player, was busted by police in Tampa, Florida on Wednesday morning (28Nov12) and is currently being held without bond at Hillsborough County Jail.
The ex-sportsman found himself in trouble with cops in Seattle, Washington after a bizarre altercation with Solo on the eve of their secret wedding day earlier this month (12Nov12).
The ceremony was called off and fourth-degree assault charges were later dropped.
The couple then pressed ahead with its nuptials on 13 November (12).
However, authorities decided the incident was in breach of his probation from a 2010 marijuana count and hauled him into jail on Wednesday.
Solo, who serves as goalkeeper for the U.S. women's team, was in Ireland preparing for a friendly game when she learned about her husband's latest legal troubles, and she expressed her support to him via her Twitter.com page, writing, "I feel bad for all the ignorance in the world. People are so quick to judge. The media spins stories in such dramatic fashion.
"I will continue to show love, and never make judgments (sic). I am blessed w (with) True Love & the beautiful game of soccer. I wish everybody the same happiness."
