George Clooney and Sandra Bullock brought their star power to opening night at the 70th Venice Film Festival on Wednesday. The event launched with the world premiere of Alfonso Cuaron's Gravity, and the critical buzz has been big for the thriller about two astronauts stranded in space when their shuttle mission is hit by debris. The big movie in cinemas around the world this week is the documentary One Direction: This Is Us, which has taken a hammering from critics for being far too on-message.
