Helena Christensen enjoyed working on her lingerie range with Triumph because she got to ''play around'' with vintage fabrics.
Helena Christensen loves ''playing around'' with fabrics.
The 44-year-old supermodel has designed a range of lingerie for Triumph and had a great time creating garments that were flattering to women.
She said: ''It's all about accentuating beautiful parts of a woman's body. I love playing around with vintage fabrics and lace.''
Despite being an in-demand model for over 20 years, Helena admits she never planned for it to be a long-term career plan.
She added to Esquire magazine: ''Modelling is a silly, crazy business. I tried it when I was 20, and I think I have myself about a month.
Asked if her longevity proves her talent, she added: ''Yeah maybe. Or maybe I've just had a very long month.''
Helena has previously revealed she was very hands-on working with Triumph, with the collection comprised of three differently-themed ranges - Poetica, Ballerina, and Dahlia - and was thrilled to be hands-on in the creative process.
She said: ''I was already their campaign girl, but Triumph suggested evolving the partnership and collaborating together.
''It was such a great opportunity to work with such a traditional, established company and have them support me in making my own line.
''I designed it all myself, but obviously had a team working with me to explain all the technical aspects - we put together mood boards, sketches, fabrics, just anything that I felt inspired by.
''It was fascinating to sit with experienced designers and see the background of the construction. There was a lot to learn - I even went to Hong Kong to talk to the seamstresses and see the samples, I was really involved.''
