Dame Helen Mirren tripped up the stairs at the premiere of her new movie in Berlin on Monday night (09.02.15).

The 69-year-old actress was left red-faced after she stumbled on her gorgeous green lace gown on the red carpet as she made her way into the screening of her forthcoming film, 'Woman in Gold.'

However, the 'Hitchcock' star managed to recover from the fall by putting her arm out, before her security guard rushed to her side to help her up the remainder of the steps.

The legendary beauty looked immaculate in her floor-length dress, which hugged her curves and flaunted her enviable hourglass figure, while her diamante jewellery stood out against the lights.

Dame Helen was joined on the red carpet by her hunky co-star Ryan Reynolds, 38, who looked dapper in a dark suit, as the pair of them smiled for photographers prior to the premiere.

Meanwhile, Helen is currently fronting the new Perfect Age campaign for L'Oreal Paris, which hit screens on February 6, and admitted she thinks her confidence has improved with age.

She said: ''I used to worry a lot more about my looks than I do now. I think the great advantage of getting older is that you let go of certain things. Having said that, I think all women worry to some degree -- and I don't think men are exempt.''

'Woman in Gold' will air in cinemas on April 3, 2015.
