Heidi Montag, the reality television star best known for her appearances in 'The Hills', is set to make her television comeback on a new show for VH1. Heidi Montag, who gained prominence after drastically changing her image through plastic surgery, will star in 'Famous Food', which premieres in the fall, reports OnTheRedCarpet.com.
The new series also stars Ashley Dupre, the girl who found herself at the centre of the Elliot Spitzer sex-scandal in 2008. Former 'Bachelor' star Jake Pavelka and 'Real Housewives of New Jersey' cast-member Danielle Staub will also make appearances. The group will attempt to open and run a Los Angeles restaurant, working on everything from developing a menu to promoting the new business. A Vh1 statement said the team will be, "renovating the space, agreeing on a restaurant concept, creating marketing plans, crafting a menu, hiring the staff and eventually, ensuring a flawless grand-opening". Speaking on Monday evening's 'Lopez Tonight' show, Montag told host George Lopez that she "needed a break" from television after being in the spotlight for so long, saying, "I needed a break after such a crazy six years of my life. And from being in L.A. and Hollywood... I've been with my puppies and my husband. It's low-key".
Heidi Montag, often portrayed as the villain in 'The Hills', made her screen-debut in the recent Adam Sandler movie 'Just Go With It'.
