Heather Mills has hit back at British police who accused her of wasting their time by calling emergency services, insisting she has had reason to fear for her life. Sussex police claimed Sir Paul McCartney's estranged wife made a "disproportionate" number of calls to the police, concerned about people hanging around outside her home in Hove. They said she risked "being treated as the little boy who cried wolf". But Mills is astonished by the police's attitude - considering they warned her about a plot against her life. She writes on her website, "Just before Christmas, three officers visited me to say they had been made aware of a plot to kill me. Maybe I should approach anyone standing outside my home late at night and say: 'Excuse me, are you a member of the press or are you part of the death plot?'"
