Heather Mills has decided to avoid the publicity she would generate by appearing in another reality TV programme by declining to take part in Celebrity Big Brother.
In a statement on her official website, Paul McCartney's estranged wife confirmed that she had been asked to appear on Channel 4's reality TV series.
But her spokesman said that the 39-year-old would not be returning to TV screens after her appearance in the US show Dancing With The Stars.
"It is true that Heather has been approached by the producers of several reality TV shows, but she has declined on every occasion and will not be appearing on any such programme," he said.
"She took part in Dancing With The Stars to raise money for one of the charities she supports, but it was a one-off and there are no plans to do any others in the future."
The spokesman added that Heather Mills' fans had been approaching her and wishing her luck on the show and that she wanted to bring an end to the speculation.
He also expressed his client's hope that bringing the reports to an end would reduce the number of paparazzi photographers pursuing her.
The last series of Celebrity Big Brother was marred by a race row involving Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty and her fellow contestants Jade Goody, Danielle Lloyd and Jo O'Meara.
