Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams were so desperate to move into their new New York home before the actress gave birth to their daughter MATILDA, they flew the seller first class all the way from Australia to sign the paperwork.

The couple paid a reported GBP3.5 million (GBP1.9 million) for the brownstone on Manhattan's fashionable Boerum Hill and were keen to rush through the buying process so they could be settled in time to welcome Matilda into the world on 28 October (05).

The deal was delayed because the American woman selling them the pad had moved to Australia, so Ledger paid for her to return and speed through the move, reports PageSix.com.
