Dean Wetter, 65, was arrested early on Saturday (27Aug16) and held on investigation of assaulting the 16-year-old sons of Ann's sister and bandmate Nancy Wilson and her ex-husband, Hollywood director Cameron Crowe.

According to court papers obtained by editors at the Seattle Times newspaper, the incident occurred during the Canadian rockers' concert at the White River Amphitheater on Washington's Muckleshoot Indian Reservation on Friday (26Aug16).

The twins had taken a stroll backstage during the gig and asked Dean if they could have a look around Ann's tour bus.

He allowed them on to the vehicle, but then became angry when they left the door open and reportedly struck one of the boys before holding him by the throat.

His twin attempted to intervene, but Dean allegedly grabbed him by the throat too and "squeezed to the point he could not breathe for about five seconds before letting go," state the legal papers.

Dean appeared in King County District Court in Washington state on Monday (29Aug16), when his bail was set at $10,000 (£7,630). He is due to return to court on Wednesday (31Aug16).

Dean married Ann, 65, in April last year (15).

The Wilson sisters have yet to comment on the incident.
