Harry Styles wants to travel to space.
The 19-year-old One Direction star is said to have bid £150,000 so he can join a number of other big names, including Ashton Kutcher, Brad Pitt and Justin Bieber on Sir Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic spacecraft next year.
A source said: ''Harry heard about the voyage a while ago but something triggered his interest in the past few weeks.
''He's got no idea if it's realistic with it being so close - with his obligations to the band - but he's willing to move things around to make it happen.''
It seems the star may not make the cut as that price isn't quite enough.
The source explained: ''Unfortunately for Harry you need more than money to get a seat at this point as it's already so late in the game.''
However, if he enlists the help of media mogul Simon Cowell he might just make the cut.
A source told the The Daily Star Sunday newspaper: ''Harry is happy to fork out the cash for it - he's loaded. He just needs Simon to help him seal the deal.''
The source added: ''The rest of the guys aren't too fussed. It's a lot of money and they would rather spend it on other things.
''But they're happy for Harry and hope he gets his dream.''
