Harrison Ford put his health problems behind him by launching himself down a 2,500 foot (762 metres) slide on Tuesday (19Aug14).

The Indiana Jones star was hospitalised in June (14) after his left leg was crushed on the set of Star Wars: Episode Vii. The actor has spent weeks recovering from the injury and finally looked ready to head back to work as he walked the red carpet unaided at The Expendables 3 premiere earlier this month (Aug14).

The 72 year old appeared to prove his fitness this week (beg18Aug14) by tackling the thrilling slide ride, where fun-lovers can reach speeds of 30 miles (48 kilometres) per hour, just days before he is due to return to filming the sci-fi installment in London.

Pictures obtained by Tmz.com show the actor taking the plunge on the Alpine Slide in Jackson Hole, Wyoming during a day out with his family.
