The OSCAR-winning film-maker, who played RICHIE CUNNINGHAM in the 1970s TV show, knows he is a bad actor because he can't take direction.
But he loves bossing other people around and insists the director role is the best part he ever got on a movie.
He says, "I don't have a performer's personality. I like taking charge a little more. I like driving the car.
"I remember once going through an uncomfortable contract dispute with the studio over Happy Days."
