Halle Berry has suffered a head injury whilst shooting a fight scene for her latest film, causing the Oscar-winning actress to be taken to hospital. Berry is more than used to fight scenes having starred in the Marvel action series of 'X-Men', but accidents do happen and the 45 year-old took a tumble and hit her head on the concrete floor. The situation was exacerbated when Berry then started vomiting - a sure sign of concussion - and as such was advised to go to hospital to get herself checked out.
"Halle Berry suffered a minor head injury while shooting a fight sequence on the set of her film, 'The Hive'," the star's spokeswoman told Afp "She was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but she checked out healthy and was released. She'll continue production as planned," the spokeswoman added.
There've been a spate of acting accidents on set as of late; just last week Kristin Chenoweth suffered a rather ignominious beginning to filming on hit US show 'The Good Wife' after a piece of lighting equipment collapsed and cracked her on the head also. Unlike Berry, on set injuries come pretty naturally to Chenoweth; in 2003 she injured her neck during a pre-Broadway run of the stage show 'Wicked' as well as falling down a flight of stairs on the set of 'Glee' last year.
