Pop beauty Gwen Stefani paid tribute to late US civil rights icon Rosa Parks at her Detroit, Michigan concert on Saturday (29OCT05).

African-American Parks, who made headlines almost 50 years ago (01DEC1955) when she challenged Alabama's segregation laws and refused to give up her seat on a bus for a white man, died in Detroit last month (24OCT05) of natural causes.

At Stefani's sell-out gig at the Palace of Auburn Hills, the NO DOUBT star dedicated her LOVE ANGEL MUSIC BABY album track LONG WAY TO GO to Parks.
