Director Guy Ritchie recruited some of his superstar friends including Robert Downey, Jr., David Beckham and Simon Le Bon to raise $1.6 million (£1 million) for a children's charity.

The moviemaker arranged a celebrity clay pigeon shoot at his home in Wiltshire, England to help facilitate the building of a new children's medical hospice in the area.

Ritchie and his fiancee Jacqui Ainsley hosted the event, which included a private clay shoot and an auction in their house.

Other guests included Jamie Dornan, Sting's wife Trudie Styler, and the Crown Prince of Bahrain.
