Actor Guy Pearce insists he has no desire to become a father, because he is too emotionally unstable. The MEMENTO star has shunned the notion of fatherhood, claiming he has no room in his life for children. He explains, "I've no desire to be a dad at all. I'd be too emotionally inconsistent, and there's enough people in the world anyway." Pearce has been married to psychology and social work student Kate Mestitz for nearly nine years. He adds, "I definitely still have those moments where I go, 'I have to be on my own. I can't be giving to anybody at all.' "I don't think it's fair to do that to a kid."
