Guns N Roses lawyer has blasted Dr Pepper for failing to deliver on its CHINESE DEMOCRACY promotion.

In March, the soft drinks company said it would give a free can of soda to everyone in the US if GUNS N ROSES released their long-awaited album this year.

Despite extending its offer by a day due to huge demand, the company has still been experiencing technical difficulties on its website.

Axl Rose's lawyer Alan Gutman has written to Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc's president and chief executive officer Larry Young lambasting the scheme, which he called a "disaster".

He said: "The entire point of your campaign has been to use public interest in Axl Rose and Guns N' Roses as a lure to increase consumer awareness of Dr Pepper. Dr Pepper was completely unprepared for the traffic to its site."

The band's album CHINESE DEMOCRACY was finally released on Monday (November 24th), after fourteen years in the making.
