Rapper Guerilla Black has been arrested over his alleged involvement in a fraud scheme.
The hip-hop star, real name Charles Tony Williamson, was taken into custody at his Los Angeles home on Thursday (12Jul12) for reportedly buying and using information from credit cards allegedly stolen by two other assailants.
Federal prosecutors have mounted a 22-count case against Williamson and claim he stole at least $150,000 (£93,750) through more than 27,000 card numbers.
U.S. Attorney Jenny A. Durkan says, "We will prosecute all parts of the criminal gang - regardless of where they may be. I commend the cyber investigators of the Secret Service Electronic Crimes Task Force for making sure that all the participants - from the hackers to the end purchasers of stolen data - are held accountable."
