Three of Gregg Allman's crew members were injured in a tour bus crash in West Virginia on Wednesday morning (06Apr16).
The bus was en route to Charleston, South Carolina, where the veteran rocker is set to perform on Wednesday night, when it veered off Interstate 77 and rolled down an embankment.
Three passengers suffered minor injuries and were treated at Charleston Area Medical Center General Hospital before being released.
A spokesman for Allman reveals the 68-year-old musician was not on the bus which crashed.
The vehicle's driver has since told Jackson County police he choked on some coffee before losing control of the bus, Sheriff Tony Boggs told local news station WCHS.
No citations were issued.
Allman is still scheduled to press on with his gig at the Clay Center on Wednesday night.
A venue representative has confirmed the news on the arena's Facebook.com page, writing, "The Gregg Allman concert scheduled for tonight will be going on as planned."
Allman himself has yet to comment on the crash.
