Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann are reuniting the cult band to perform a trio of shows with Phish star Trey Anastasio to mark the milestone at Chicago's Soldier Field, where they played their last gig with tragic frontman Jerry Garcia, a month before his death in August, 1995.

Now Illinois State Representative Drury has presented a draft resolution to lawmakers in the General Assembly to formally acknowledge the California group for its lasting impact on the music industry and rock culture.

He is calling for local officials to "wish the Grateful Dead much success at its upcoming concerts on July 3, 4, and 5, 2015 at Soldier Field and wish the individual band members of the Grateful Dead much success in their future endeavors" and present a copy of the resolution to the Friend of the Devil hitmakers onstage.
