Triple-Grammy winner Kanye West is still fuming with TV legend Dick Clark over last year's (04) American Music Awards (AMAs) for failing to give him a trophy.

The Chicago rapper expected to take home an award at the Clark-produced ceremony in November (04) - but failed to win in any of the three categories he was nominated in - including Best New Artist which went to country star Gretchen Wilson.

West says, "I do not apologise to Dick Clark or the AMAs because you should not have had me perform and have me nominated for so many awards but not have an award.

"I'm one of those guys that's like all new artists, 'Oh, I just believe that everything is on the up-and-up' and now I see with some of those other award show that it's not."

West left Sunday's (13FEB05) Grammy show with three awards, including Best Rap Album for THE COLLEGE DROPOUT and Best Rap Song for JESUS WALKS.
