The Britpop pioneer, 37, admits he was self-conscious during his early days in Blur, but since working on his upcoming release he has transcended his sense of image and is happy simply concentrating on making music.
He says, "My love of music is much stronger than my love of my own image.
"I got down to playing with musicians and just not being worried about people looking at me. I lost my self-consciousness."22/05/2005 20:55
