British musician Goldie is set to make his stage debut playing a Jamaican gang leader in a hard-hitting play.
The electro star has previously showed off his acting skills in Guy Ritchie's black comedy Snatch and James Bond movie The World Is Not Enough and now he is heading to the theatre.
Goldie will star in Kingston 14 by Roy Williams, a play about a black British police officer sent to Jamaica to investigate the murder of an English tourist.
He says of his new career path, "I'm over the moon... I'm just learning my way here with this. But I would love to do Shakespeare. I would love to think that something like that could happen... I never made a record until I was 28. This is theatre at 48. It's not bad."
Kingston 14 runs at London's Theatre Royal Stratford East from 28 March (14) to 26 April (14).
