Hollywood star Goldie Hawn revels in her role as grandmother to daughter Kate Hudson's baby son, describing it as being "amazing".

The Private Benjamin actress, 58, loves being grandmother to her first grandson - six-month-old RYDER RUSSELL - which makes her feel "very lucky".

Hawn says, "Being a grandmother is amazing, I love it. It brings unbelievable joy. The baby's incredible and beautiful and I'm very lucky. We're all so happy."

The OSCAR winner and her partner actor Kurt Russell have four children between them. Hawn has two children - OLIVER, 27 and Hudson, 25 - while Russell has a 25-year-old son, Boston, and together the couple have 17-year-old Wyatt.

Hawn adds, "It's like Katie went off and had a baby and now we have one more."
