Glee star Matthew Morrison spent his early years too scared to have sex after his midwife father told him horror stories of sexually transmitted diseases (Stds) and teenage pregnancies.
Morrison's dad often regaled the star with tales from the delivery room and made a point of showing his young son a detailed book about Stds to make sure he was careful when it came to sex.
The actor/singer admits his father's blunt talks "scared" him and he spent years worrying about being intimate with a girl.
He tells Britain's Star magazine, "My birds and the bees talk was epic. My dad is a midwife who delivers babies for a living, so he would come home every day and tell me about a 12-year-old girl whose baby he delivered.
"He had this big book with these very vivid pictures of every single Std and he would show me all of them. I was so scared of sex when I was growing up."
