The cast of Glee are set to perform live on the semi-finals of the X Factor, it has been confirmed. Two of the world's biggest shows are set to join forces on Sunday 5th December 2010, when Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron and others take to the stage on Simon Cowell's hit UK singing contest.
The appearance will mark the first time that the cast of GLEE have appeared live on stage outside of the United States, and CHORD OVERSTREET, Heather Morris, and Mark Salling, have also been confirmed to appear. The news comes after the cast recently surpassed the exploits of both THE Beatles and James Brown by having the 2nd most entries ever on the Billboard Hot 100, with 93. According to Billboard, only Elvis Presley has made more appearances on the chart, with 108.
On Monday 29th November 2010, the cast release their new album entitled 'Glee: The Christmas Album', which features a reworking of festive classics such as 'Oh Holy Night', 'Jingle Bells', and 'Last Christmas'. Singer MATT CARDLE and boy-band ONE DIRECTION lead this year's race to become winner of the X Factor.
