Rockers Glasvegas have been reunited with their frontman JAMES ALLAN - presenting him with a cell phone after he disappeared for nearly a week.
The Scottish stars spoke for the first time since Allan mysteriously failed to appear at London's Mercury Prize ceremony earlier this month (Sep09), prompting the worried band to cancel their scheduled performance at the show.
Allan was then found safe and well in New York, and later reunited with his bandmates to support the Kings of Leon in Boston, Massachusetts on Friday (11Sep09) - before they handed him a phone to keep in touch.
Guitarist Rab Allan says, "The only way we could get in touch with him was by email. I knew he was okay, but everyone else seemed a little bit worried. I think the record company (was) pretty worried. He has (a cell phone) now. We got him one on his glorious return, so he now has a phone."
Rab admits he's still unsure as to why the singer went missing, but they're waiting for Allan to open up about the incident.
He explains, "We went and had some food. We asked him if he was okay. We asked him if he wanted to talk about anything. Everything was fine, and we (decided to) put it behind us and move on.
"He's quite a creative person. He's quite a private person as well, so I think when he wants to talk, he will talk."
