The irony was not lost on many as Motown legend Gladys Knight exited 'Dancing With The Stars' during the week that the show went, yes you've guessed it, Motown. Whilst at the top of the leader board it was once again Katherine Jenkins deservedly taking the plaudits - the star making another stunning impression on judges with Mark Ballas - at the bottom Knight was surely all too aware that, following Gavin Degraw's exit last week, she on paper was looking like one of the likely candidates to go next. Knight hasn't quite lit up the dancefloor and has rarely found herself out of the bottom few as a result - though this was the first time she'd been in the bottom two.

Her score on Monday night was a grizzly 21, a rumba to 'My Girl' not going down well at all. Facing Disney star ROSHON FEGEN in the final dance-off, she managed to take the judges to a split decision, but ultimately not one in her favor with only Carrie Ann Inaba keen to keep the soul legend, reports Reuters.

Knight was gracious in defeat however, saying "I learned so many things, and found so many friends and family," indeed she was expecting to go too, after Monday's performance saying "More than likely they're going to have us in the dance duel," before adding "What-ever!"
