Cheryl Cole doesn't understand why people think she's a style icon.
The Girls Aloud beauty - who is often regarded as one of the world's best dressed women - is bemused by the accolades placed on her and says she didn't set out to be a fashionista.
She said: "I don't know where the fashion icon thing comes from, though! They gave that to me - I didn't claim it."
Despite the pressure to look good, Cheryl insists she doesn't let it get to her because she knows how unhealthy it can be.
She told new! magazine: "I have days like any other woman when I feel rubbish. But that's just a woman thing - we have crazy hormones sometimes. But I try not to let the pressure get to me because I think it could drive you insane. I am still human, no matter what labels I'm given or how people look at it."
The 'Fight For This Love' singer also revealed she refuses to splash out thousands of pounds on a designer dress and instead borrows them for special occasions.
She said: "I have a very expensive dress which I didn't buy because I couldn't justify buying. So it was loaned to me for the red carpet - that was £30,000."
