The Golden Globe-winning actress is the new face and brand ambassador for Kipling's summer 2015 campaign, a project she is more than thrilled about since she's had a relationship with the company for years.

She recalls saving her money for a coveted forest green bookbag, telling to E! News, "Kipling came into my life when I was a kid. We couldn't afford it at the time, so I saved my allowance."

Knowing how important the item was to her, Rodriguez's mum gave her half the amount to buy her first Kipling bag, which she purchased and cherished for a long time.

She admits, "I kept it forever. When they (Kipling bosses) came to me, it was like full circle. I mean, this is my childhood. This is the brand that I wanted to own when I was kid."
