Ghost Beach hit UK shores for the first time ever, prior to release of their debut album Blonde, out on the 24th of March. Having already repetitively sold out shows in their native NYC, it's time for them to bring the 80- flavoured indie-pop party to London town. The following shows have been confirmed, with a couple more in the pipeline.
Previously the band have set the internet ablaze with consistent number ones on The Hype Machine with everything they've self released. Just over a year old, the duo of Josh Ocean and Eric "Doc" Mendelsohn have already perfected a blend of retro and futuristic soaring synth sounds they have hailed "Tropical Grit Pop", garnering them comparisons to MGMT, Yeasayer and Vampire Weekend.
Ghost Beach are not purely electronic or purely a live band, but a realization of what lies in the middle. Josh plays the jilted lover with a vocal panache as Eric's sythns, guitars and forever-young harmonies are plucked right out of Neverland. Ghost Beach is more about a time than a place, and that time is now.
