US President George W Bush will pay a special visit to late rock 'n' roll legend Elvis Presley's Graceland home - as part of an official visit to bolster ties with Japan. The American leader will escort self-confessed Elvis fan, Japanese Prime Minister JUNICHIRO KOIZUMI, to the historic mansion later this month (30JUN06). KOIZUMI is so obsessed with the The King he wrote the sleeve notes to a compilation disc of Presley songs after being elected into office. A spokesman for Bush, Tony Snow, says, "The president and Mrs Bush will accompany Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi of Japan to Memphis, Tennessee on June 30, 2006, the day following the Prime Minister's visit to the White House. "The two leaders will visit Graceland Mansion, home of the Presley Family."
