Pop icon George Michael refuses to worry about his personal safety, insisting that bad things happen if you think about them too much.
While most A-list celebrities pre-occupy themselves with hordes of bodyguards, CCTV cameras and alarms, there are no security gates or monitoring devices outside the FAITH singer's west London home.
He says, "I'm just not security-minded. And I have a feeling that if you think that way, bad s**t comes to you. If someone really wants to hurt you, they'll find a way whatever. I don't want to spend my life worrying about it."
But he admits his relaxed attitude comes from living alone, adding, "Listen, if I had children, I would be Mr Security. I'd have all the trappings because I would be neurotic on their behalf. But as it's just me, no."05/10/2004 21:11
