Pop pals George Michael and Ronan Keating teamed up to raise money for cancer charities on a celebrity edition of quiz show WHO WANTS TO BE A Millionaire.

The former Wham! singer and the Irish crooner won GBP32,000 ($18,823) by answering questions on the hit show and dedicating the money in memory of their late mothers, who both died from cancer.

George donated his share of the winnings to MACMILLAN CANCER RELIEF, while Ronan put the pounds towards his own charity the MARIE KEATING FOUNDATION - named after his late mum.

George says, "One of things Ronan and I have in common is that we both lost our mothers within a year to one another to cancer.

"In my case there was a Macmillan nurse who helped my parents throughout. They provide me with an amazing service and I thought this would be a good way to show my gratitude."
