AMANDA LUCAS, the daughter of American filmmaker George Lucas, is set to return to cage-fighting after taking time off to get married. AMANDA LUCAS has been out of the 'cage' for over a year because she didn't want to look like a "battered woman" on her wedding day.
Speaking to MMAFighting, Lucas said, "The main reasons I didn't fight was first, I got married and I assured everyone that I wouldn't walk down the aisle looking like a battered woman". The martial artist added that she also "wanted to focus on getting technically better" at cage-fighting. The Star Wars director's daughter is set to return to the cage this Saturday night (9th April 2011) when she will face off against the Thai fighter HEATHER MARTIN in Oklahoma. Her last competition came back in 2009 when she scored a three-round unanimous victory of CHRISTEN BEDWELL.
AMANDA LUCAS is the oldest adopted daughter of George Lucas and she has played minor parts in all three of the director's Star Wars prequels. Since adopting Amanda in 1981, George Lucas has since adopted two more children, Kate and Jett.
