Movie-maker DAVID O'RUSSELL is considering taking legal action against WARNER BROTHERS studio bosses after they axed a controversial anti-war film from the DVD release of Three Kings.
O'Russell planned to include 35-minute documentary SOLDIER'S PAY - which features interviews with Iraqis and Gulf War veterans - in the upcoming DVD release of his hit 1999 film, which starred George Clooney and Ice Cube.
But film chiefs at Warner Bros ditched the documentary because they felt it was too political.
Furious O'Russell says, "I am contemplating having a press conference with a First Amendment lawyer... to say that this is censorship and an infringement of the First Amendment based on political opinions."
The documentary is reportedly far from favourable about America's governing Republican Party and the current president George W Bush's family.06/09/2004 02:16
