George Clooney has thrown an A-list party at his Lake Como holiday home.

The Hollywood actor invited 'Ides of March' co-stars Evan Rachel Wood and Marisa Tomei to his Italian abode, which is thought to have cost him around £10 million in the town of Laglio in 2002, as he prepares for the 68th annual Venice Film Festival in the country.

The 50-year-old star - who split up with Elisabetta Canalis in June - also invited supermodel Cindy Crawford and her husband Rande Gerber to spend time with him in the picturesque location - and they were spotted going paddleboarding.

George, Rande and U2 singer Bono - who is also staying at the actor's 30-room lakeside villa - all reportedly partied in Monaco after travelling through the French Riviera on motorcycles.

He is set to promote 'Ides of March' at the film festival, which is set to start tonight (31.08.11).
