Hollywood actor George Clooney refuses to sleep in the master bedroom of his Italian villa - because it feels too big.

The screen star purchased the palatial 18th-century Villa Oleandra, which is located in the picturesque hamlet of in Laglio, from the HEINZ family in 2002 and it's since hosted hoards of Hollywood stars.

But Clooney admits he has issues with sleeping in the grand home's master bedroom, so he rests in one of the other 14 bedrooms whenever he's there.

He says, "It's too big... It's just too much."

But Clooney has no regrets about making the big purchase, adding, "It's the best thing I've ever done in my life."
