Veteran funnyman Gene Wilder has no regrets about leaving Hollywood at the peak of his movie career in the 1970s, because he fears he would have had a breakdown if he'd remained in Los Angeles.
The STIR CRAZY actor, who lives in Connecticut, admits he would have secured more profitable film roles if he'd stayed in LA, but decided the fast-paced hub of the movie industry wasn't for him.
Wilder says, "It would have ruined me personally. It would have taken my soul.
"But, yes, it would have helped me professionally. No doubt about that."02/06/2005 03:58
