Movie great Gene Hackman fears his film career is over - because no one is offering him work anymore.

THE FRENCH CONNECTION star, 74, insists he'd play anything if it was interesting, but he has been ignored since starring in flop film WELCOME TO MOOSEPORT.

He says, "Somebody read it the other day and said, 'The Coen Brothers will pick this up in a minute.'"
