Soul star Gary Clark, Jr. will launch his own music festival in his home state of Texas later this year (13).
The singer/songwriter has set up the Maverick Music Festival in San Antonio, where the likes of Girl in a Coma, Arum Rae and Henry and the Invisibles will take to the stage on 23 March (13).
A statement about the event on the musician's website reads, "In 2013, Gary Clark Jr. and a cadre of music lovers from San Antonio united their passion for music, in an effort to elevate live concerts in the Alamo City to the next level.
"Armed with a wide array of collective experience from different backgrounds, they organized a music festival in the heart of San Antonio's historic downtown. As a result, the first annual Maverick Music Festival was born."
