Gary Busey coming out of a cake dressed as a woman in 'Under Siege,' a classic moment, we've all seen it; how upsetting it is then to discover that the man who gave such a vintage scene has apparently filed for bankruptcy, with obtaining documents that suggests the actor owes some $500,000 of debt whilst possessing as little as $50,000 himself. Baffling, considering Busey has been nothing if not prolific, appearing in around 70 films since making his career debut in 1971 on the silver screen.
Tmz claims that Busey filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in California yesterday, February 7th, checking the box which states he has less than $50,000 in assets and also the one which says he has between $500,000 and $1 million in various debts. Ouch. The 67 year-old reportedly owes money to a range of people including the Irs, various lawyers, UCLA Medical Centre, Wells Fargo and LA County Waterworks District. He also possibly owes money to a woman named Carla Loeffler who alleged that he attacked her last May at an airport in Tulsa.
If Busey's feeling the strain of being penniless he didn't seem to be showing it in front of the Tmz cameras earlier this week, in fact the fallen star seemed to be having the time of his life as he danced around in a parking lot by his car. Just another classic Busey moment.
