Country star Garth Brooks has threatened to scrap a five-date stint at Dublin's Croke Park in Ireland if locals' objections result in the cancellations of two of the concerts.
Dublin City Council officials have refused to grant promoters permits for two sold out extended shows at the end of the month (Jul14) over fears the concerts will prove too much of a strain on local businesses and transport.
And now Brooks himself has waded into the drama insisting he'll play all five shows or none at all.
In a statement on Thursday (03Jul14), the singer wrote, "I have faith that will make the best decision for the people of Ireland. For us, it is five shows or none at all. To choose which shows to do and which shows not to do, would be like asking to choose one child over another. However this plays out, Ireland has my heart and always will."
The final two shows on 28 and 29 July (14) were added when the first three sold out.
