The Welsh actor previously declared it was not "necessary" for him and Kate Fahy to tie the knot, insisting they would only walk down the aisle for tax reasons.

However, the couple is now said to have exchanged vows in a low-key ceremony which was kept secret from everyone but their closest friends and family.

A source tells Britain's Daily Mail newspaper, "They tied the knot recently, without any fuss. Only close family members and friends know about it."

Pryce and Fahy, who share three children, became involved after starring opposite each other in a 1972 play. Both were married and left their partners to begin the relationship.

He previously said, "I'd been married for nearly three years and was very happy. But two weeks after I met Kate, I left my wife and she left her husband. It really was just this extraordinary meeting."
