The stars of Game Of Thrones have launched a fundraising campaign to help those affected by the refugee crisis.
Actors including Lena Headey, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Maisie Williams and Sophie Turner star in a video calling on their fans to donate to the International Rescue Committe (IRC) organisation, which helps refugees across Europe and the Middle East.
Nikolaj, known as Jaime Lannister in the show, says in the video, "HBO and the international rescue committee have joined forces to stand for refugees and the families who need us now."
Lena, who plays his onscreen sister, adds, "The IRC is providing relief for over three million people across the region, working tirelessly in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Turkey, Serbia and in Greece, and helping thousands of families who have been offered save haven in the United States to start over and rebuild their lives. So now's the time..."
And Nikolaj adds, "Rise up and stand with us."
All the stars, including Michiel Huisman and Iwan Rheon, repeat the phrases "you can help", "please" and "rescue has no boundaries".
They urge fans to donate to the IRC using Omaze.com. Fans of the show will be placed in a ballot to attend the Los Angeles premiere of season six and the afterparty by donating $10 (£7).
Welsh actor Michael Sheen is also campaigning for the U.K. public to donate to United Nations Children's Emergency Fund (UNICEF) following a recent trip to refugee camps in Jordan and Lebanon. The UNICEF ambassador spoke to Good Morning Britain on Monday (14Mar16) to stress the importance in helping Syrian refugee children receive an education.
"The more that we support the work that is going on in the camps and the informal settlements that I went to visit; the more confident these children can become, the less traumatised they are, the more we can support them with education the less likelihood there is that they feel they need to come across to Europe," he said.
