The 31-year-old star, who made her debut as Diana, warrior princess of the Amazons, opposite Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill in the Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice blockbuster can't believe the Barbie looks just like her.

Posting a picture of the doll on Twitter, the excited actress wrote: ''This is absolutely extraordinary - the #WonderWoman @Barbie is here! Who got theirs at #SDCC this year!?.''

Gal's Barbie, which was unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con in California at the weekend (21-24Jul16), comes with the comic book heroine's trademark gold tiara, blue cape, and gold lasso.

She recently revealed she took inspiration for the character from the real-life Princess Diana, after watching a documentary on the late British royal.

''She leads from her heart not from her head, and that describes this Diana," she said.

Gal also debuted new trailer material from the upcoming Wonder Woman movie, in which she stars alongside Chris Pine, Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, and David Thewlis, at Comic-Con. In the film, the Israeli actress plays an Amazonian royal trained to be an unconquerable warrior.

The first description of the movie reads: "Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat.

''Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers... and her true destiny.''
