Fun Lovin' Criminals frontman Huey Morgan believes his beloved New York learned a lesson from the September 11 (01) terror attacks - even though parts of America are still exhibiting "knee-jerk" reactions.

The band's new tunes take inspiration from the aftermath of the atrocities, and Morgan believes his fellow countrymen have learnt a lot about their place in the world since the disaster.

He says, "Things have got back to normal. People are less adversarial. There are a lot more kind acts to be seen on the street.

"The people in New York were encouraged to have a world view and an understanding of why September 11 happened. The US has been running around for the last 55 years kicking people in the a** and people get mad.

"Most of the s*** you hear is from people in Omaha who have no idea or inclination to know what is going on. It's just a knee-jerk reaction."
